So, this week I didn’t accomplish much. I was in Nashville last weekend visiting my daughter and my 2 granddaughters and that, somehow, always throws off the week that follows.
Here’s what happened in a nutshell:
- I didn’t send out a mini campaign. Huge misstep on my part as this keeps my brand top of mind for my audience and normally gets me a few sales. I really need to be consistent, no matter what my life looks like.
- I ratcheted down my Google ads. I went from $240/day to $50/day. Out of fear (and an expert’s advice), I’m slowly resurrecting them, 14 days at a time. I decreased daily spend in an effort to throttle sales to my Shopify site. It worked, but I’m a bit concerned what the effects may be over the next 30 days. I increased spend to $100/day yesterday but the conversion value/cost is kind of all over the place. I’m looking for 3.00 and I’m not there. More to come.
- I increased Etsy handling time from 1-3 days to 3-5 days, since I was traveling. I’ve been back for 4 days now, but haven’t changed my handling time. I’m (barely) caught up, so I think I’ll leave the handling time alone at least through the weekend. Yesterday, sales were $583. Not bad, so throttling hasn’t made a serious impact so far.
Overall, the week was ok. Here’s my last 7 days stats for sales:
I’m thinking that I should also show stats for expenses, since gross revenue doesn’t really say much. I’ll work on that and update this post when I have numbers… it may be easier to post these on monthly basis, though, so keep an eye out for that.
I haven’t decided yet whether to post weekly or monthly stats. I guess we’ll play that by ear. Truth be told, some of it depends on how accountable I want to hold myself.
I want this blog to be transparent, but I also want to be realistic… so, if you have questions – ASK! I’m happy to help and offer advice where I can. If I’m not 100% consistent… understand that I have a life outside of this, so I’ll do the very best I can to update progress, but I may not be perfect ❤️
