Etsy announced some updates to the site today, two of which I’m super happy about!
Extend your Etsy Auto-Responder Length
First, if you use the auto-responder, in the past you could only have it “on” for two days at a time. This was great if you just want to cover the weekend. For me, I like to use it every day. Why?
It’s a quick way to acknowledge you’ve received your customer’s email and that you’ll help them as quickly as possible. I LOVE using this to link to my FAQs and policies. Many times, questions can be answered right then and there. From there, it’s an easy follow up to ensure the customer got the answers they needed.
The auto-responder is still a great way to let people know that you’re off for the weekend – and now for a few days – and let them know that responses may be delayed or, better yet, set expectations for when you’ll get back to them.
Going forward, the auto-responder can be set for 5 days at a time. This is great. I can now set my Monday – Friday email for 5 days on Sunday night. On Friday, I can set my weekend response up.
Haven’t done this yet? Stay tuned for some templates and ideas for your own Etsy auto-responder emails.
View More Orders on Your Etsy Orders Page
This one didn’t get me quite as excited, but it’s still a nice change. Etsy has changed the max viewable orders from 20 to 50 orders.
Even though I generally use my shipping/inventory app (ShippingEasy.com) to process my orders, I can see where this would be a welcome change for sellers that utilize Etsy to update order status. Going from 20 to 50 orders makes it easier to mark more orders as completed all at once.
Other changes Etsy made
A couple of other updates that were made that will be helpful for sellers are:
- Including SKUs in CSV reports
- Removing a banner that I don’t think I’ve ever seen LOL
If you’d like to read the article for yourself, head on over to New improvements, based on your feedback on Etsy.
What are your thoughts? Yay or nay on this latest batch of changes?
