PLR FAQ

What in the world is PLR?

PLR stands for Private Label Rights. Articles, eBooks and even websites can be offered as PLR. A PLR license gives you the non-exclusive right to use the articles in any way you wish, including rewriting them, using them as is for website content or using them for article submissions, among other things.

Wait – so I get content with no strings attached?

There may be specific terms for using PLR, depending on the website you purchased or downloaded it from. For example, some sites will allow you to resell and/or give away the PLR as is, others will not. Some will allow you to pass on PLR rights to your customers, some won’t. Always check the site’s terms prior to purchasing or using PLR.

Why would I want to use PLR articles?

Creating content for your website, blog, newsletter or article submissions can be a daunting task. Especially if you’re not particularly crazy about writing. PLR is a great solution to your content creation. By using PLR articles or eBooks, you can quickly post content in a variety of places, saving you time. And, we all know that time = money.

What’s the best way to use PLR?

Many people will take a PLR article and use it exactly as it is. There’s nothing wrong with that. But, in my personal opinion, you’re really making the best use of  your PLR if you rewrite it so that it is fairly unique.

While I don’t buy into the Google duplicate content penalty theory, it is clear that given several “copies” of the same article on different websites, Google will usually only rank one of them for specific keywords.

The way to avoid this, and have your own article rank well, is to make it at least 30% different from the original. I recommend, at a minimum, rewriting the first and last paragraphs and changing some of the body of the article, as well.

Does Creative Compulsion have any restrictions on the use of PLR sold here?

Following are the terms you agree to be bound by when purchasing any PLR from Creative Compulsion:

Article Packs, Reports and eBooks
The content purchased at Creative Compulsion is for personal use only. You are purchasing a non-exclusive right to use the content for your websites, blogs, newsletters or for any other purpose for which you need content. Basically, you can do anything you wish EXCEPT resell the content as Private Label Rights content.

While altering the articles, eBooks or reports isn’t required, I strongly suggest that you do alter/rewrite the content to make it unique to you :-)
